EHS Officer

We are looking for an EHS Officer to manage Environment, Health and Safety compliance on construction sites in Pune. You will implement PPMC's EHS framework, conduct audits and build a safety culture across contractor teams.

What You'll Do

• Implement and monitor PPMC's EHS management plan on site
• Conduct daily site safety inspections; issue and close non-conformances
• Facilitate toolbox talks, safety inductions and method statement reviews
• Investigate near misses and incidents; complete root-cause analysis reports
• Maintain statutory registers, accident book, fire drill records, equipment inspection logs
• Liaise with statutory authorities on safety compliance and inspections
• Prepare weekly and monthly EHS performance reports

What We're Looking For

• Degree or diploma in Safety Management, Civil Engineering, or related field
• NEBOSH IGC or equivalent safety qualification
• 3-5 years of EHS experience on construction sites
• Knowledge of Indian statutory requirements (BOCW Act, Factories Act, Fire Safety regulations)
• Strong communication skills, ability to engage workers, contractors and senior management

Nice to Have

• Experience in pharmaceutical or industrial construction
• ISO 45001 internal auditor certification
• First aid qualification
